Keeping off the freshmen 15 is a way more difficult task then it looks. The constant runs to Wawa and unhealthy options crowding the dining hall are difficult to avoid. But, with these 2 simple tasks it can be easier to keep healthier.

Lemon Water:

You might think you don't have money for lemons, but you do.

I guaruntee your dining hall has a bowl of lemons somewhere. Use those. They are free and lemon water is extremely good for you. I go to my dining hall in the morning and I put lemon in my water bottle for the day. I switch out the lemon at dinner. Water lemon also helps aid in digestion if I happen to eat a bad meal in the dining hall that night, which happens more than I would like.

No Snacks = No temptation:

Keep snacks out of the room! At Least, bad snacks of course. This year I learned that the quote, "Out of sight out of mind", is true. Not having unhealthy snacks in the dorm room will keep you from eating it. I suggest going food shopping and buying some simple healthy snacks such as, granola and fruit.
